UFO in Montreal #1 (Parc olympique de Montréal)

Yesterday was a cloudy day with sunny intervals, probably my favorite weather for photography. We went for a stroll with Roumi around botanical garden and we had the chance to see an UFO laying there, it was beautifully illuminated by a ray of sun. Roumi dared to touch it ...

  • Amazing colors and beautiful warm light. Love the dark clouds. I find myself coming back to your photoblog everyday hoping for new cool pictures. You actually inspired me to buy a new camera and take up photography as a hobby myself. As a webdeveloper I really like the technical stuff behind your site as well. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for the inspiration!

  • Thank you very much LL, it is much appreciated :)
I'm glad that my work can inspire and motivate other people because that's was exaclty what happened for me

  • Those darn aliens, parking wherever they want. I like the lower one as it's quite funny, but I prefer the top one for it's overall atmosphere and because it is a very good shot. Great light and flow, nice shot.

Impressionant.
    zac @ 2006-04-19 02:19
  • J'aaadddoooorrrreeee le ciel!!! Encore une tres bonne photo! Encore bravo Julien!!

  • Toutes ces courbes, ce ciel oppressant... L'invasion est proche !!! Good shot (comme toujours)!!!

  • Superb! Excellent composition. The round shapes of the concrete in the foreground and the threatening dark sky in the background enhance the alien look of the UFO.
    Lars @ 2006-04-19 04:08
  • Makes me think of "Brave New World"! (The weeds in the foreground do not have anything to do with the futuristic building to the left)
    Wim van der Meij @ 2006-04-19 05:39
  • Extremely original! We all say that the Big O looks like a UFO but younailed it. I have also written about your site on Metroblogging Montreal. Enjoy the new readers.

  • Love the dark clouds in the background - Nicely captured!
    Ian @ 2006-04-19 07:00
  • Superb shot, lovely colors.
    Ashish Sidapara @ 2006-04-19 07:04
  • I would never dare to touch a thing like this. I like the contrast against the sky, it brings out the lines and shapes really good.
    eterisk @ 2006-04-19 07:08
    Laurent @ 2006-04-19 09:16
  • Wow, that looks great. A fantastic shot.
    Frank @ 2006-04-19 09:17

    Ruan @ 2006-04-19 10:44

Bravo, encore Bravo. salutations
    Christian @ 2006-04-19 16:11
  • Magnifique utilisation de la lumière.
    Jonas Detarsis @ 2006-04-19 21:35
  • Lol, un classique (la 2e). Tres bien execute.
    AirBete @ 2006-04-20 10:38
  • Wonderful dynamic range in this image. The architecture mixed with the subdued colors and weather -- a true alien landscape!
    Timothy Gray @ 2006-04-20 13:20
  • very nice colors! the light and the composition is great! like it very much!
    shaped @ 2006-04-20 14:23
  • These are both really spectacular images, I'm loving the warm color palette! it's interesting to see a persoon in the second frame to add perspective and scale to the objects, in the first ones the structures seem so massive, then with the person, much, much smaller. really nice work!
    matthew @ 2006-04-20 16:52
    Roumi @ 2006-04-20 20:20
